"Whitening" of car paint defects:
Description: The surface of the paint film presents a milky white mist.
1. Reason:
(1) The water vapor condenses and gets trapped in the wet paint film because the weather is cold and humid when spraying.
(2) The drying speed of the used diluent is too fast or the quality is too poor.
(3) Use compressed air to blow the paint film to accelerate the evaporation of the solvent.
(4) There is ventilation in the spray booth, or insufficient heating and air flow.
2. Prevention:
(1) If possible, avoid spraying in rainy, cold or humid weather, and let the paint film dry naturally. Otherwise, a non-fogging thinner should be used.
(2) Use the appropriate grade of thinner.
(3) Ensure that the spray booth is properly heated and ventilated, and avoid drafts.
3. Repair method:
When the paint film is slightly foggy, it can be repaired by polishing after the paint film is completely cured. When the haze of the paint film is serious, the surface of the paint film can be smoothed, and then re-spray with the appropriate grade of thinner or non-fogging thinner. If the above method does not
When it works, the temperature of the spray booth can be raised by more than 5 degrees, to avoid direct blowing through the hall, smooth the defective part, and then re-spray.
