How to deal with cracked car paint
Reasons caused cracked car paint:
1. If the old paint layer is handled without errors, it is related to the erosion caused by atmospheric pollution and efflorescence.
2. The new paint coating may be tarnished/cracking due to: too high humidity at the time of application; substrate sensitive to solvent or primer not drying out; substrate not fully drying out; incorrectly mixed hardener or affected contamination without chemical reaction; inappropriate thinner; topcoat too thin.
Prevention:
1. Regular care of the topcoat helps to improve its resistance and maintain its luster;
2. Apply according to the recommendations of technical data sheet; confirm that the substrate is dry before painting;
3. Tighten the hardener after use.
Remedy:
Lost gloss can be lightly ground or polished; cracks and matting must be resprayed.
