Paint Defects - Industrial Fallout:
1. Definition:
The paint has corrosion spots.
2. Reason:
Industrial fallout: Sediments from foundry and steel mill chimneys. Railroad dust and road debris. Iron particles are mainly found on vertical surfaces, oxidize in high humidity environments, and then attack the paint surface.
Damage to paint due to sparks: Dust from trams and railway cables. Abrasive cutting, welding or grinding operations can cause spark damage. Hot iron particles (sometimes glowing) burn into the paint.
3. How to avoid:
Immediately remove metal particles, polish and wax the surface regularly to avoid problems. Where cutting or welding is performed, ensure that all vehicle or nearby vehicle parts are fully covered for protection.
