We know that even the best paint film will still be permeated by water vapor. When water vapor penetrates into the paint film, it may form enough pressure to force the weakening of the adhesion between different paint films or the adhesion of the overall coating to the substrate, resulting in the formation of bubble-like protrusions containing water.
1. The surface has been contaminated before painting, especially the remaining hydrophilic substances such as sweat, fingerprints, saline and alkaline, and sanding dust on the painted surface;
2. The water quality of the last water used for cleaning the coated surface is poor and contains impurity ions;
3. The paint used has poor water resistance or moisture resistance;
4. The coating is not cured sufficiently. The paint surface is exposed to humid climate or high temperature environment before it really dries;
5. The thickness of primer and topcoat is insufficient, and the thinner is used incorrectly;
6. Continuous exposure to severe humid climate and high humidity environment, such as during the rainy season, the paint film is prone to blistering.
In addition, the paint film that protects the upper surface is damaged, improper maintenance of the vehicle (remaining detergent on the surface) and long-term parking of the vehicle in a poorly ventilated garage, etc. will accelerate the blistering of the coating.
Although blistering is affected by external conditions (humidity, temperature), it is difficult to find out with the naked eye at first, but it has destroyed the integrity of the coating. The water vapor promotes the corrosion of the metal under the coating over time. There is no remedy. The coating can be removed and repainted.
