Is the car paint film etched by acid?
There are rough spots on the appearance, and the edges of the spots are sunken into the paint film due to acid etching. Sometimes the color of the paint film changes and the paint surface is uneven.
(1) Causes：
① Corrosion of acidic substances such as asphalt, insect corpses and industrial pollutants on the road surface, or grease such as brake fluid spilled on the paint surface during vehicle maintenance, will cause acid corrosion.
②Wash the paint film before it dries, or use an unsuitable cleaning agent.
③ The old paint film contains pollutants or polishing agents, and it has not been thoroughly treated before re-spraying, which can cause acid corrosion of the new paint film.
(2) Correction method：
Immediately remove the above-mentioned pollutants from the paint surface, and polish the acid-etched part with coarse wax. In severe cases, it needs to be polished and then sprayed again.
