About paint polishing marks:

1. Definition:

Very fine scratches on the paint surface, poor gloss, light grey.

2. Reason:

Paint marks are more likely to appear when:

The paint did not dry long enough; the paint film was too thick; the wrong curing agent was used, or the wrong amount of curing agent was used; too much pressure was applied to the polisher (causing burns when polishing); the polisher was tilted during polishing; grinding Wrong head; caustic/too rough polishing paste; polish when it's too hot out of the paint booth, or polish in direct sunlight.

3. How to avoid:

(1) Make sure the film thickness, drying time, and amount of hardener and thinner are correct.

(2) Allow the coating to dry sufficiently before polishing (repaint with infrared if necessary).

(3) Do not press the polishing head or tilt the polishing head with too much force, and use the correct polishing head during the operation.

(4) Make sure that the paint surface is cool or not exposed to sunlight.

4. Maintenance:

Polish with any standard high-gloss polish.
